Hello my beautiful people! How are you? I have missed you all. I know, I know, Where have I been? I have a lot on my plate lately. Its been a long summer and I am settling into my final academic year. I am so sorry for being away for so long, and I must say I missed blogging. On that note let I'll get into today's look. This is a monochromatic outfit. I realise I have been wearing a lot of these kind of outfits lately.
What is a monochromatic outfit? It is simply wearing different ranges of tones within a colour. In this case the main colour for the outfit is Mustard (yellow). However instead of going with mustard, yellow or gold shoes I decided to spice things up a bit with burgundy heels. This elevates the look and keeps it appealing. Wearing only one shade though out the oufit can be a little too much so adding a touch of another colour keeps it elegant.
This top has to be my favourite piece of clothing right now. I love the colour and fit. I can wear it casually and on a smart outfit or dress it up for church or a dinner.
I also kept the scarf within the colour range of the shoes, to keep the consistency and give a minimal and clean finish to the look.
This clutch has to be one of my favourite piece of accessories lately. It complements every outfit I wear. Where day or night.
These heels tho! I never thought I'd wear these shoes so comfortably, especially because of how high are. However they were very comfortable, at least for the first couple of hours. Anytime I wear heels, I always have a much lower backup plan in my bag. I also wore burgundy brogues with this outfit and it looked just as good. So if you don't want to wear heels, flat brogues also works well with outfit. You don't even have to wear burgundy, you can wear navy blue, dark green, black, gold, purple even yellow. Try it out. You might just love it.
