Sometimes you've got to treat yourself. Get all dolled up and grad a friend and go on a date. Better still treat yourself to a night with just you and love every minute of it. Don't wait for a man to take you out. Even if you have a man, still do yourself the favour of spending a night apart just loving yourself and being independent, cause sometimes things can get overwhelming and in all that, you need to remember how to love and treat yourself. It doesn't have to be a date night. I could be a lunch out, a long walk, you could even stay in, light some candles and enjoy your own company. You know? have a little "me time". This time is dedicated to just you. Spend it loving yourself. How you do that is entirely up to you. You can spend it reflecting on yourself, treating yourself, just chilling , meditating etc. If you have a lot going on around you, positive or negative things, try not to think about them. You might get over whelmed. The aim of this "me time" is to get away from the hectic part of life and well, just have fun, be happy, be calm or be active, as long as you are being you.
My "me time" was with a date night with a friend. I know, I know, not so much 'a time alone', but for me it was as good as that. I sincerely enjoyed myself. We spent time talking about ourselves and encouraging each other (I received most of the encouragement). During this time you are the most important person. It is a time to think about on you and build yourself. Make decisions and reflect on your personality. Appreciate the things you love, make a conscious and loving decision to improve on the parts of you that need improvement and do away with the bad. 'The second is this: 'Love your neighbours as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these." Mark 12 vs 31'. How can you love your neighbour if you do not love yourself. In other words treat others the way you want to be treated. How can you treat others well if you won't even give yourself the time of day? Remember who you are and say it yourself......I'm Golden. 'Fearfully and wonderfully made'.
