I have been missing my mum lately. It's quite hard being away from my family, so in honour of my mum I did this make-up look. My mum has to be the most wonderful person I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, but she isn't just anyone she is MY MUM. She is meek, so kind and generous. She brought me up to be kind and thoughtful towards others. She is a blessing to this world and my family. While thinking about her and what she would was like when she was younger I got inspired to do this 80's look.
The 80's was known for it wild hairstyles and pop of colour make-up. It was the era of trial and error. For the eyes I have gone with a colour that is complementary to the skin as well as the eyes. Having brown skin, one can find it difficult to wear bold colours, especially when trying to find the best shades for your skin tone. I choose to work with olive green, blend it in with shimmering nude (as my transition colour)and gold for the tear ducts. For the lips I went for a beautiful warm orange shade. The accessories were mostly large hoops or big pendant earrings back then, so I choose this semi-hoop earring with a pearl back.
MUA Pro -base primer | Mac studio finish spf 35 concealer | The eyeshadows I used don't have names. The name of the palette I used is called LaRoc summer shimmer palette. You will find all the colours in there.
Me now - Brown lipliner | Sleek - papaya punch | Avon - ripe papaya
