I have been struggling with my health lately. Why? Well I'd like to find out too. What I do know is that it has a lot to do with what goes in my mouth. Have you ever been in a situation where you are just tried? Tried of been told so many things that it's making your head spin and none of it make sense? That's me right now. I have been told so many ways to take care of myself. Foods to eat, and foods not to eat. Someone says this then another person says the opposite. A couple of weeks ago I went to see a doctor and he told me to do the most shocking thing. ONLY EAT WHITE FOOD!! 😱I was indeed flabbergasted. The very thing I have been trying not to do for the past 4 - 5yrs. I got out of the appointment room snd called my mum to tell her what the doctor had just told me, she was shocked and told me not to even think about it. (My mother is in the medical field so she also knows what she is saying).
Why did the doctor say that to me? Well I have been struggling with abdominal pain for a length of 4-5yrs now. I have no Idea why it starts and I could be in pain for weeks. Why? I simply do not know, (well...lets say I'm not "certain"). I have been placed on different eating regimes. What to eat and what not to eat. Diet plans some of which seemed to worked but then stopped, and this one is no exception. Now I'm just tired. I have decided I am going to figure this things out on myself as well instead of being an guinea pig for medical experiments. Although they have managed to put a name on the "medical condition", it is still under investigation.
I gave up completely on eating healthy food as I found the sweets and chocolate cause me no pain, nor gave me any abdominal discomfort, so they were my go to food (plus they taste good). Now that has to stop, and it's not a good enough reason to eat them in the first place.
So to start afresh I am beginning with breakfast. "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day" as you already know, so I won't bore you with lectures that aren't needed. I will say, that it is one of the most difficult meals of the day for me to eat. I will state reasons why in another post. This "healthy" breakfast no.1 is porridge oats with blueberries. This is a simple breakfast that will literally only take you 5 mins to prepare.
Porridge rolled oats (any brand)
milk or water
1. Wash a hand full of blueberries and put them aside to be used later
2. Boil water or milk for a min (till warm)
3. Pour oats in the water or milk (whatever amount you want I use half a cup)
4. Add a tea spoon of honey after a minute (optional)
5. Stir and let the oats boil till for 3mins
6. Once it's boiled, pour in a bowl
7. Pour/ sprinkle or throw the berries on top....lol.
And Voila breakfast is served. Enjoy.
