I've been watching a lot of superhero movies lately. Hence the inspiration for this look. I came into this year feeling like superwoman. I told myself that this is my year of triumph. Has that changed? No. Yes, I've come across a lot of discouragements and challenges in these past months, but I've kept encouraging myself, to stay strong and be bold. I even wrote a post about it called "Dare to be bold".
For this OOTW (I changed it from OOTD because, I only post one outfit a week), I have paired this cape shirt dress with my favourite accessory at the moment. The bag with an attitude. Continuing with the comic theme I also wore my favourite tights, (you can't have comic without polka dots, can you?) and the comic strip lighting bolt trainers that I also wore in my last outfit post. "Bold with an attitude". I finished off the look with a bold coloured head wrap, and I'm good to go. This outfit came together nicely for me, but I want to know what you think of it, so please comment down below. Don't forget to like and share.
The last time I visited Italy, I was inspired by the colourful buildings and the run down maintenance style some parts of the country had. In a way, it was beautiful. Aside from the buildings and the lagoon coloured canal that flowed across the city of venice, this particular feature was my favourite. It gave the city character. However instead of the super colourful Italian buildings, I attempted a more neutral approach, to get a feel of what it might be like walking through the dense city on a slightly cold spring day. I've paired this thick very light grey jumper and nude chinos.
The British weather can be deceiving. It's so warm now, the next minute its freezing. So I always go out prepared. Its not time to lose the jumpers and coats just yet. Keep them on hand for when you need them. For this look I've gone for fun and playful block colours, taking from the pantone ss17 colours. This colour scheme reminds me of the action figures, and truck toys I used to play with when I was younger. They were always in the primary colours, blue, red and yellow. I was more of a tomboy back then. Guess still got that boyish flare in me.

It's spring, and what better to wear than prints, patterns, sequences, florals etc. This season I'm starting off with this floral bomber. I got this from the ZARA a couple of months back. Initially didn't really know what to do with it. I just really liked it, but cause I didn't want it to end up at the back of my wardrobe like most of my new clothes do. I decided to experiment, and that I got this look. I've paired this outfit with a white smart shirt from ASOS and a pair of pleated trousers also from ZARA.
Yass!! people. It was my birthday a couple of days ago. So happy and excited that I'm alive and active - Thank God! Not so excited about the "getting old part").
I had two shoots on the day, as you might have guessed. One outfit was for my indoor "little shindig" and the other was for my night out outfit which didn't happen cause I was way to tired and full. If you want to see the two puts keep scrolling👇🏼.
Hi everyone. How are you all? I know, I know. I've been away way too long this time. No excuses. I am so sorry. I appreciate you all for your support and love even though I have been away for a while.
Autumn is basically over, so this outfit saying goodbye to the autumn season and hello to winter 2016. This look's focus is the lace detail on the skirt. A little bit of back story on this skirt. So I have had this skirt for a few years now and only worn it once. My honest feelings about the skirt initially were negative. however I couldn't get rid of it because it was a gift from my mum. Just a couple of weeks ago I was searching through my wardrobe and I came across it. I decided to try it on again and I love it. I realised how much my style had changed over the years. The once hoodie and jeans tomboy Janet, had become a lover of minimalist style.....and this skirt fit right in to my current sense of style.
Back to the look. Like I said in my previous outfit blog post I mentioned that I have been loving the monochromatic look lately, and you can't get anymore monochromatic than an all black outfit.
I accessorised this outfit with a gold necklace and snake print block ankle boots.
